    This fictional account of Christopher Marlowe is laughably bad. The characters are one-dimensional and the dialogue is toe-curlingly awful which, at times, sounds like a poor parody of Blackadder’s Elizabethan England. On this evidence, Burgess only book of note was A Clockwork Orange,
