  1. Mr Black says:

I’m not normally a great sci-fi fan, but this is an excellent book. Andys, Chickenheads, and Mercerism.

    • Mr Blue says:

Much much more than a sci-fi detective story. This is a thought provoking book; full of ideas and with an engaging storyline.

Includes the concept of Kipple – see glossary.

  2. Mr Orange says:

Philip K Dick is one world’s great authors who is too often dismissed as a mere sci-fi writer by dimwits who fail to appreciate his unique style, sharp wit and brilliant use of his ‘genre’ to explore the human condition – not sure why HG Wells isn’t criticised in the same way?

Rant over, this is one of his finest and best-known books which works as a straightforward sci-fi/police procedural and a musing on what, if anything, is authentic about our experiences/emotions in a man-made world.
