Rant over, this is one of his finest and best-known books which works as a straightforward sci-fi/police procedural and a musing on what, if anything, is authentic about our experiences/emotions in a man-made world.
I’m not normally a great sci-fi fan, but this is an excellent book. Andys, Chickenheads, and Mercerism.
Much much more than a sci-fi detective story. This is a thought provoking book; full of ideas and with an engaging storyline.
