Date: 21 June 2012
Venue: Peking Restaurant, Cambridge
Book Score: 8
Age has not been kind to this book – but then to be fair there are few authors who can stand proud against the likes of Canetti and Donleavy.
Rather silly satire on novels involving spies, secret policemen and anarchist plots. The reader gets the point after a few chapters, and the novel becomes rather tedious.
