   Set post a nuclear apocalypse, and written in some strange derivative of English it is a short but brutally hard book to read. Unlike the Nadsat language of Clockwork Orange one doesn’t absorb the language as you progress, and are constantly left guessing at the meaning of sentences. Some fans of the book club may wish to know the origin of the saying ‘doing the juicy’ – well this is the book….
