    A pedestrian novel about the leader of a minor slave rebellion in the 1800s that doesn’t quite capture the time or the place. Nonetheless it’s a well-written, mildly interesting story.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the score represented broad approval by the group. It was an eye opener to the sheer brutality of the system, and even more shocking as it was based on real events.
