    Obsessive, claustrophobic account of the effects of sudden blindness on society, which returns to a state of nature. Bizarre focus on bodily functions only adds to the horror. Brilliant, but very disturbing!

    Frightening and well written depiction of the sudden collapse of civilisation and the behaviour of society in the aftermath. All the more powerful because of the believable depiction of the characters, their plight and the depths to which many sink.
